Privacy Policy

Last updated: 6 October 2026

This policy explains how personal information is handled when you read endastorrie.com, leave a comment, or join the Enda Storrie reader list.

1. Who we are

endastorrie.com is run by Story Bible Studio Ltd, a company registered in Northern Ireland, at Office 2106, 92 Castle Street, Belfast, Northern Ireland, BT1 1HE. We are the “controller” of your personal information, which means we decide how and why it is used.

Enda Storrie is a pen name. endastorrie.com and its emails are run by Story Bible Studio Ltd, the company behind Story Bible Studio and Chain Story Online, and that company is responsible for your data.

  • Company number: registration in progress (we’ll add it here once issued)
  • ICO registration: in progress (we’ll add the number here once issued)
  • Privacy contact: support@storybible.pro

We follow the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). If you live in the EU, including Ireland, the EU GDPR also protects you.

2. What information we collect

  • When you join our email list or download a free resource: your first name (optional), your email address, the page you signed up on, the time you signed up and the fact that you ticked the consent box.
  • When you read our emails: whether an email was delivered, opened and which links were clicked. Our emails contain small tracking images and tracked links that make this possible.
  • When you browse the site: information about your device and visit, such as pages viewed, referring site, browser, approximate location (country or city, from your IP address) and the time of your visit. Some of this comes from cookies (see section 6).
  • When you leave a comment: the name, email address and any website you enter, your comment, and your IP address and browser details, which help us spot spam.
  • When you contact us: your name, email address and whatever you choose to tell us.

We don’t ask for sensitive information (such as health, religion or political views), and please don’t send it to us.

3. How we use it and our legal reasons

What we do Legal basis
Sending you the free resource you asked for and our emails Your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a) and PECR)
Keeping a record of your consent and your unsubscribe request, so we don’t email you again Legal obligation and legitimate interests
Seeing which emails are opened and clicked, so we can send fewer, more useful ones Your consent, given when you sign up
Website analytics (Google Analytics and Matomo) Your consent, given through the cookie banner
Publishing and moderating comments Legitimate interests
Keeping the website working and secure, and stopping spam Legitimate interests
Answering your messages Legitimate interests

4. Our emails

If you sign up, we’ll send you an email every couple of weeks with posts from endastorrie.com on reading, writing, Irish stories and more, along with the occasional mention of Story Bible Studio and Chain Story Online. We only email you because you asked us to, by ticking the consent box when you signed up.

Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click removes you, and you can also email us to be taken off the list. Unsubscribing doesn’t affect anything we did with your consent before you withdrew it.

We use the tags on your contact record (for example, which site you signed up on and which free resource you downloaded) to send you the emails that fit. This is simple grouping; we don’t make any automated decisions that have a legal or similarly significant effect on you.

5. Who we share it with

We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t share it with other companies for their own marketing. We use a small number of trusted service providers (“processors”) who handle data on our behalf and only on our instructions:

  • Encharge: sends our emails and stores the email list.
  • FlexiFunnels: hosts the sign-up pages for our free resources and passes your details to Encharge.
  • Hostinger: hosts this website.
  • Google Analytics (Google) and Matomo (provided through WPMU DEV): website statistics, only if you accept analytics cookies.
  • Convert Pro and WowOptin: on-site sign-up forms and pop-ups.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, for example in a legal claim.

6. Cookies

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use:

Type Examples Why Needs your consent?
Essential Session, security and preference cookies (for example theme-mode, and cookies that remember your cookie choice) Make the site and its forms work No
Analytics Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*) and Matomo (_pk_id, _pk_ses, _pk_ref) Count visits and see which pages are useful Yes

When you first visit, a cookie banner lets you accept or reject analytics cookies. You can change your mind at any time by clearing the cookies in your browser, after which the banner will appear again. Our sign-up pages have their own banner that works the same way.

7. Where your information is stored

Some of our providers store or access data outside the UK and the European Economic Area, for example in the United States. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards the law requires: UK “adequacy” regulations (including the UK–US Data Bridge for certified companies), or the International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum and standard contractual clauses in our contracts with those providers.

8. How long we keep it

  • Email list: until you unsubscribe. If you don’t open or click any of our emails for 24 months, we may remove you.
  • Unsubscribe record: we keep your email address on a “do not email” list after you unsubscribe, so we never email you by mistake.
  • Record of your consent: for as long as we email you, and for up to 2 years afterwards, so we can show you agreed.
  • Analytics: identifiers in Google Analytics are kept for up to 14 months; reports only use totals.
  • Comments: for as long as the comment is published. Ask us at any time to remove yours.
  • Messages you send us: up to 2 years after we last hear from you.

9. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct anything that’s wrong;
  • ask us to delete your information;
  • ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to us using it;
  • ask for your information in a format you can take to another provider;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, for example by unsubscribing or rejecting cookies.

To use any of these rights, email support@storybible.pro. It’s free, and we’ll reply within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.

10. Children

Our email lists are not for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child under 13 has signed up, email us at support@storybible.pro and we’ll delete their details.

11. Keeping it secure

We use reputable providers, encrypted (HTTPS) connections, strong passwords and two-factor sign-in where it’s available, and we limit who can access your information. No system is perfectly secure, but if something goes wrong that puts you at risk, we’ll tell you and the regulator as the law requires.

12. Complaints

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first at support@storybible.pro so we can try to put it right.

You can also complain to the UK regulator, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113. If you live in Ireland, you can contact the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.

13. Changes to this policy

We’ll update this page when anything changes and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we’ll also tell our email subscribers.
